One of the oldest Bordeaux wine estates, Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte is a Graves Grand Cru Classe in the Pessac-Leognan appellation in Bordeaux. They are known to possess one of the most admirable pioneering spirit. They are one of the rare chateaux to own an on-site cooper, allowing them full control over its oak integrity. Their red wine cellar is one of the largest underground cellars in Bordeaux, holding up to 1000 barrels. Biodynamic farming forms an integral part of their philosophy. They have also recently explored whole cluster fermentation.
