The initiator was Aristide Mau, but it is his son Yvon, who went on his v?locip?de (old-fashioned bicycle) along the winemakers in the Bordeaux region to select wines that he could sell. He made good selections and thus expanded his portfolio. The house Yvon Mau thus became a well-known and renowned wine merchant. Not only did the company select Bordeaux wines, but in the course of time wines from the regions for the Vins de Pays were added.
